The best street style from Pitti Uomo SS20

Pitti Uomo

The hot Florentine weather does anything but dry up the fresh and classy street style exhibited at Pitti Uomo. Amongst the paisley and pinstripe, a sea of well-dressed men graced the streets of Florence over the past four days. Showcasing the latest trends for Spring/Summer 2020, it’s safe to say you can expect some cutting-edge debonair style this season. Discover the best-dressed men of Pitti 96. From panama hats to punchy prints, much can be learned from the world’s most fashionable menswear affair…

Sergio Guardì of @barbanera_official

Co-founder of Italian clothing brand Barbanera Sergio Guardì embraces both the traditional and edgy atmosphere of Pitti, wearing a classic tailored suit and dark black shades. Championing a personal philosophy that affirms style as something with permanence and longevity, the creative showcases his signature style with confidence.

Franco Mazzetti (@franz_1955)

Menswear consultant Franz Mazzetti has a style that is eternally sought-after. As one of the ‘celebrity faces’ of Pitti Uomo, it’s not surprising that his Pitti looks are always elegant and effortless. The muted palette of his look combined with striking and confident accents, such as his stylish watch, sunglasses and pocket square, form an ensemble that radiates confidence and class.

Kwari Jacobs (@kwari_jacobs)

Who said Pitti Uomo was just for men? Check out this suave couple gracing the streets of Florence. Fashion content creator Kwari Jacobs and his wife channel poise and sophistication at Pitti this week. From their matching colour palette to their playful use of prints, the Jacobs have certainly set the bar high for couples strutting the streets of Florence this season. I especially love the gorgeous drop earring sported by Mrs Jacobs in this look. Talk about on-point.

Buzz Tang (@buzzspoke)

Whether Buzz Tang matched his orange ice-lolly with the tan straps of his holdall, or it was a mere coincidence, his ensemble highlights a cultivated dedication to fashion. This menswear aficionado brings his style back to basics with an impeccably tailored suit and sleek grooming. Proving that simplicity and minimalism is often a winning combination, take a leaf out of Tang’s style book and invest in some quality wardrobe staples this season.

Toshihiro Yasutake (@toshihiro_yasutake)

Over the course of Pitti Uomo, Toshihiro Yasutake showcased both cocktail and casual attire, tying all his looks together with his confident and bold sense of style. From preppy blue jumpers to muted lightweight suits (as pictured above) Yasutake proved that men can rock any trend so long as they invest in the right pieces that resonate with their style. Adding a pop of colour with a red print shirt, this look is the epitome of Pitti authenticity.

Shuhei Nishiguchi (@shuhei_nishiguchi)

Shuhei Nishiguchi’s day two look is my ultimate favourite from this season of Pitti Uomo. Mastering the mixture of smart and casual, Nishiguchi pairs a candy stripe shirt with a sailor blazer, a bomber sports jacket and a pair of tailored trousers using a tie as a belt. Whilst Pitti is celebrated by honouring classic and traditional approaches to fashion, Nishiguchi proves that you can still retain sophistication whilst channeling innovation and creativity.
